Comfort Hotel Umeå City

Excellent location, close to the center, the river, within walking distance (15 minutes) of the train station. We had a windowless interior room, which was a great idea because it never really gets dark in Umea in the summer. I'm sensitive to sunlight, so a windowless room was the best way for me to get a good night's sleep. The gym was functional, but would have been better with a view. Wanted to try the sauna but it doesn't open until afternoon. Breakfast was pretty good.

The hotel is about ten minutes walk from the bus station and the train station and is very close to the town hall and the river. After a very comfortable night the breakfast is superb with good helpings of bacon, sausages and scrambled eggs. The hot chocolate was a nice change from the different coffees, along with a croissant. The breakfast room was a calm area with a nice view out on to the street. It is easy from the hotel to reach the river and cross the different bridges over the icy water to get good views of the city before making for the station.

The hotel is located in the centre of the town, perhaps 7-8 minutes by foot from the station. Good sized rooms, comfy beds and everything very clean. Internet good, very good and varied breakfast.

Perfect location. Huge lobby with two distinct spaces, and fast elevators. Nourishing healthy breakfasts with veggies, fruits, desserts, and tons of tasty treats. Self-served coffee/tea and juice are available at the reception 24/7. Room for two is with enough space for personal comfort. A table and a chair do not take up much space. Laundry service. Sauna and gym are available. A couple of good restaurants are literally by the corner.

It exceed my expectations,, I didn't realise my stay include free use of a sauna and a gym of which I was next door to. Very friendly staff, great breakfast. Extremely clean and cheap, only 45 euros a night. It was great value. I would definately stay again. I love how warm and almost family like the staff treated me.
